Prayer requests: extra care
A prayer request may tell us about your religious beliefs or your health. The law treats this as special category information, and we handle it with extra care. We only use it with your clear consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form.
- Your prayer request is only seen by our prayer team.
- We use it only to pray for you and, if needed, to reply to you.
- We never share it with anyone else, and we never use it for anything else.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry.
- To pray for you and reply if needed.
- To organise sessions and let registered team members know about the day.
We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing emails.
Our lawful basis
We rely on your consent, given when you tick the box on each form. For event registrations, we rely on our legitimate interest in organising sessions safely. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing togetherforbirmingham@gmail.com.
How long we keep it
We keep your details only for as long as we need them to respond to you or organise sessions. We then delete them. Prayer requests are deleted once they have been prayed for and any reply has been sent.
Where it is stored
Your information is stored securely by the service that hosts this website and is only available to the people in our team who need it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do any of these, email togetherforbirmingham@gmail.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
